With powerful generative AI models that can generate convincing deepfakes from a few seconds of audio/video, trust in online meetings and calls is deteriorating. Karna is on a mission to bring trust back into online conversations. Trust is fundamental to all human interactions, and Karna eliminates the distrust caused by deepfakes.

Raji Baskaran, Ph.D.

Founder & CEO

Raji Baskaran is an accomplished technology executive with a strong background in the deep tech industry. She was previously the founder and CEO of Manifolds Lab, a company specializing in AI and sensor-enabled systems. She was awarded the SEMI 's Hall of Fame award for her contributions to human-machine interface technologies.

Raji earned her Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a Master's from Cornell University, and a Bachelor's from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Her expertise spans technology strategy, scaling products, and managing global teams.

Michael C. Smith

Co-Founder & CCO

Mike Smith has 20+ years of capital markets and financial services industry experience. Most recently Michael was an early executive team member of a AI first cloud company Denvr Dataworks. Michael has worked with Canadian and internationally based, public and privately held investment banks and wealth management firms and bringing that experience to early stage deep technology companies.

Prior to his focus on financial services, he had a successful athletic career representing Canada internationally in the sport of decathlon, where he was a 3-time Olympian as well as a World Championships and Commonwealth Games medalist.

Resmi Arjunanpillai

Co-founder, Product/GTM

Resmi Arjunanpillai is a product marketing leader with expertise in consumer and enterprise marketing. As an early employee at Google, she played a key role in global marketing initiatives, including the launch of Google Maps, and contributed to AdWords and AdSense growth, driving tens of millions in revenue through advertiser acquisition and multi-channel marketing. She later led marketing initiatives at Box and Urban Engines, driving product adoption, revenue growth, and strategic partnerships..

Resmi earned her M.S. from Stanford University and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.


Sridhar Ramachandran

Chief Technology Officer

Sridhar Ramachandran is a technology entrepreneur with executive leadership experience in cloud computing, IoT, and AI. Sridhar’s career includes co-founding OATSystems, a leader in RFID-based software, which was acquired by Checkpoint Systems in 2008. He has a proven track record of leading successful startups, including Auripay, a secure payment technology company acquired by RSA, a division of EMC. Sridhar is also an academic contributor, co-authoring influential research in computer science for which he received the FOCS Test of Time Award.

Sridhar holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was part of the MIT Supercomputing Laboratory, and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Resmi Arjunanpillai
